Materials
- Your membrane
- A sheet protector
Methods
- After the gel is done running, disconnect the power source and remove gel onto a piece of paper or a paper towel
- Dry the gel a little and place into the scanner
- Turn on the scanner and press the play/forward button at the bottom of the program screen to see your gel
- Hit ‘gel’ on the top left, and select the UV302 setting
- Select auto exposure and then capture
- Once the image appears, hit invert
- Use the ‘W’ slider to increase or decrease the brightness of the gel to see the bands clearer
- Print the image when you are done and discard the gel
